Educational Programs

Wings of Wonder does not receive any state or federal funds. In order to cover the costs incurred from rehabilitation, research, cage maintenance, medical supplies and continuing education a program donation is requested. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Programs last about an hour and can be tailored to fit the needs of any audience. The program includes a slide presentation introducing the special features of raptors and the variety of raptors found in Michigan. There are 2-3 live raptors that accompany each program so audiences have the opportunity for a close up look at these magnificent birds. A hands-on table of raptor pellets, artifacts and photo display boards are also available at each presentation. Afterwards there is time for a question and answer period. Programs outline habitat needs, environmental issues, endangered and threatened status, wildlife ethics and wildlife stories. Audiences are left with pro-active strategies for helping raptors and ways to live in harmony with the wild animals that share this planet with us.

Program costs are based on a number of variables. These include number of participants, distance from Empire Michigan and length of the program requested. Please contact Wings of Wonder to discuss your interests and needs.
